PiloteDakarRallye-raid Stéphane Peterhansel, né en 1965 en Haute-Saône, s'est imposé six fois au Dakar à moto sur Yamaha, en 1991, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1997 et 1998. Formé à l'enduro et titré trois fois champion de France avec Husqvarna, il découvre le rallye-raid en 1988 au sein de l'équipe officielle Yamaha. Sa rivalité avec l'Italien Edi Orioli marque toute la décennie, notamment en 1996, où un carburant défectueux le contraint à l'abandon alors qu'il menait la course. Passé à l'automobile en 1999, il ajoute huit succès entre 2004 et 2021 avec Mitsubishi, Mini et Peugeot, portant son total à quatorze victoires,...
